Usual2unusual is Irina Mitaenko’s personal portfolio-website we developed in our team. My biggest contribution was bringing the project to life in Webflow, along with designing some of the pages. The most challenging part was figuring out how to make Young’s split experiment work on the main page (and footer), and adapting the effect for mobile view as well.
This project was a piece of work, but it did pay off: the client was over the moon, we even received an Honors mention on awwards. View on Behance

Big city (5M+ people) Transportation monitoring system

Product design
Design system
main dashboard with quick settings opened

For the last 2 years, as part of the design studio, I have been working on an interface for transport monitoring system. In short, it's main purpose (but not limited to) is to detect road accidents (e.g. car crashes), send that report to an operator, who will send appropriate public services to a place of the accident (e.g. ambulance) and document the incident for further city analytics. Ultimately, it's a contribution to a safer city environment.
I’ve changed the UI & certain sensitive parts so that the project isn’t identifiable, however I can provide proof of work upon request.

Small example
I was in charge of a large overhaul of the settings & quick settings in the app. One of the main issues was that those 2 areas, which are supposed to be functionally almost identical, were out of sync with each other, thereby complicating the work of the operators. In this small snippet I added the camera tab (since there is a camera list & camera pages in full settings) for quick settings. We've streamlined what the operator needs to know & control fast — specific incident type deactivations for each camera. Each camera also has a set of segments, and it's possible to turn off certain incident type for a period of time on a given segment. Considering that, I've also included 1) an indicator showcasing deactivation time running out, 2) a caption for incidents already deactivated on all segments 3) a change to camera's tooltip on a map.

It's quite hard to describe all of the work that I've done, but the list includes:
process the feedback from the operators themselves, designing mobile/desktop web application as well as different branches of the project (because it truly is massive), refining design system on the go, communicating closely with analytics, developers. In general, it's an unorthodox & complex project, where it's not possible to just copy design flows from already succesfull apps. It's a requirement to think deeply.

*A super-app, also known as an everything-app, is a mobile or web application that can provide multiple services including payment and instant messaging services, effectively becoming an all-encompassing self-contained commerce and communication online platform that embraces many aspects of personal and commercial life.
UX/UI
Work
I was in charge of designing an app prototype for initial investors presentations for a client. Basically, it’s an all-in-one app, mainly for tourists, to use as a map, transport card management, taxi order/scooter rental, places/events recommendations (think of Tripadvisor). The main goal was to showcase the killer features: multimodal route planning, integration with external services (e. g. Careem, Bolt), transport card functionality.
The process felt like connecting already familiar flows I know to form one single entity. It was fun to think about how all of those different functions could coexist in a single app, what unique circumstances would I need to predict, generally making it feel like a fully-fledged system.

The feedback was positive — both from the clients & their investors. In the end, they partnered up and went on to further development

Design is part of the fabric that is woven on the loom.
We see the threads and the tablets with text woven into them. Emphasizing the sense of community, the sands of time, the layering of history.
A weaving knot is a knot used in weaving to join the ends of broken threads.
It is created in such a way that it will not come undone later. It is usually used on thin materials to maintain the integrity of the fabric. The main advantage of the weaving knot is that it securely binds the ends of the thread, thus avoiding disintegration of the fabric during the weaving process.

The motif of threads on a weaving machine is present everywhere, one way or another
Like a loom weaves threads to create a tapestry, a community working together can create a rich fabric of culture and tradition. Each person in the community contributes a unique thread, and through cooperation and collaboration, the threads come together into a vibrant, beautiful tapestry that represents the collective history and identity of the community. Just as a tapestry becomes stronger with each additional thread, a community becomes stronger when it works together to create and preserve its culture.

Some of the merchandise I made for the project. I wanted to include threads as a physical item, for them to be more than just a print. Those are neat features that tie (pun intended) the designs together.

In general, I get a story brief of the collection, have a look at current materials (clothes, photoshoots) and take it from there. The client values & trusts my vision, so here I get to roam quite freely. From exploring roman scupltures for a collection revolving around Saturn's myth, to helping build a horror-grunge narrative around ancient sacrificies.
